Kusama Sculpture Unveiled London
Kusama Sculpture Unveiled London: Yayoi Kusama, the iconic Japanese artist, has just unveiled her largest permanent public sculpture to date at London’s Liverpool Street Station. Titled Infinite Accumulation, this monumental work is Kusama's first permanent public installation in the UK. The sculpture stands over 10 meters tall and 12 meters wide, featuring polished silver spheres that soar above the ground, reflecting the bustling environment around them. The design, with its dynamic, serpentine arches, is a reflection of Kusama’s signature use of polka dots, symbolizing the unity and instability of the cosmos.
Infinite Accumulation is located outside the Elizabeth Line
entrance at Liverpool Street Station and is part of the Crossrail Art
Programme, a significant public art initiative in London. The installation is
intended to be a dynamic, ever-changing piece, engaging with the urban
landscape and the diverse population that passes through one of the city's
busiest transport hubs (FAD Magazine) (Artlyst) (euronews).
